Postnatal Anxiety and Depression
Have you or your partner just had a baby? Have you been experiencing sadness or excessive worry that doesn’t seem to go away? You may be experiencing postnatal anxiety and/or depression. About 1 in 6 people experience this during the first year after childbirth.

Fortunately, postnatal anxiety and depression is highly treatable, and many people who seek help improve significantly. Our treatment program uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), providing practical skills to manage symptoms, break negative cycles, and help you feel better.

Who will find this program helpful?
People in the postnatal period (and their partners) who have been experiencing problematic levels of worry, persistent anxiety, and/or periods of low mood and depression.
What will I learn in the program?
The program teaches proven strategies to tackle symptoms by working with thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. The three modules cover: understanding symptoms and managing physical symptoms of anxiety and depression; identifying thought symptoms and using thought challenging and structured problem solving; and challenging unhelpful behaviours through graded exposure and activity planning.
How long does the program take?
The program consists of three modules, and it's recommended to complete one module every 1-2 weeks, allowing time to practice the skills learned.
How much does the program cost and how can I access it?
You can enrol in the 'self-help' option and start right away for $35 (Australian residents only), or seek a prescription from your regular GP or mental health professional and enrol for free (available worldwide under the supervision of your treating clinician).
We've also partnered with selected private health insurers to give you free access to one of our mental health treatment programs.
What kind of support will I receive?
If your clinician prescribes the program, they can monitor your progress and wellbeing scores, providing support as needed. If you enrol as 'self-help', the program is fully automated, and while technical assistance is available, there is no clinical support.
